Intermediate Care

All of our facilities are intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IDs), which are health facilities designed to provide custodial care for individuals unable to care for themselves. The Billings Fairchild Center has nurses on duty 24 hours a day.

ICF/IDs provide a continuous, aggressive, and consistent implementation of an individual program plan (IPP), which consists of specialized training, treatment, and health or related services, directed toward helping the resident function with as much self-determination and independence as possible.
